Christmas Day Is Come

Christmas day is come; let's all prepare for mirth
with songs of joy and gladness, for Christ is come to earth

Here within the stable, the newborn baby lies
For him sing all the angels; their singing fills the skies

They hail with adoration, "All Holy" do they cry
They sing "Hosanna, Holy Holy Infant" on high

Holy maid and baby, in stable cold and bare
But where is there a palace that could with this compare

Mary is the queen, in heaven and on earth
Her son is King of Kings; to him she did give birth

He comes to live among us to bring us peace and love
To show us we are brothers, both here and above
